The “limited blood” inter-student challenge takes place throughout January and aims to encourage young people to donate blood.
The beginning of the year is often difficult for blood donation, between the end-of-year celebrations and seasonal epidemics, and donors are less present. “Less than 80,000 blood bags are available when 115,000 are needed to cover the needs”, deplores the EFS Grand Est. To meet demand, around ten nursing student associations (ADESI.E, AESIH, AESIS, RHESUS, HYGIDE, CREI, ADESI, AMNESI, Carpe Diem, ABEIL) are organizing the challenge borderline blood. The objective of this challenge is to encourage students in the sector to give blood throughout the month of January during collections organized in the various training institutes and nearby. Participants are also invited to visit one of the region’s nine gift houses. It is also an opportunity to remind everyone that donating blood is a necessary action that is easy to carry out.
