What is the Ultra Music Festival: Ecuador could have its version with the Road to Ultra Music Festival | Music | Entertainment

Great news for electronic music fans in Ecuador: The Ultra Music Festival will celebrate one of its editions in the country.

He Ultra Music Festival (also known as UMFjust Ultra) is a series of electronic music shows that takes place annually in Miami, United States. This musical party began in 1999 and, after several modifications, it is a festival that is held for three consecutive days, specifically from Friday to Sunday, in the popular Bayfront Park, in downtown Miami. Its last edition was in March of this year and it is already preparing its next installment, on March 28, 29 and 30, 2025.

The Ultra organization also holds international versions of the festival, such as in Europe and Asia. In addition, the brand has founded the events called Road to Ultra (RTU)These are electronic music performances that take place over a single day on a single stage, unlike the original Ultra.

These versions of the Ultra emerged in 2012 and took place for the first time in Seoul, South Korea. Since then, the RTU has reached Thailand, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Australia, among other countries.

Ecuador will also host Road to Ultra. During the afternoon of Tuesday, August 20, the account @ultraecuador appeared on Instagram, assuring that “soon” Ecuadorians will also celebrate with the best exponents of electronic music.

The news, which was announced with a video showing scenes from previous Ultra festivals interspersed with shots of iconic Quito locations, was reposted by Ultra’s social media profile, apparently endorsing this party in Ecuadorian territory.

For now, the date chosen for the electronic shows has not yet been revealed, as well as the price of their tickets; neither has the location been confirmed. To give an example of their prices, the RTU in Guatemala counted tickets between $60 per person (in the first call for sales), up to $110 per person in the last sale. (E)
