The soloist of the Italian group Måneskin tested the drugs after viewers suspected of using them live on the Eurovision Song Contest, writes the BBC.
The group soloist’s test is negative.
“No drugs were used behind the scenes and we believe the case is closed,” the EBU said.
It has already been reported that the people were embarrassed when the Maltese representative was interviewed and the camera briefly turned on the Italian representatives “Måneskin”, showing that the group’s soloist, 22-year-old Damjano David, was leaning on the table behind the drinks bottles.
Damayano strongly denied the allegations and stressed that he did not use drugs at all. He points out that Thomas, a member of the group, had broken the glass and helped him to pick up the shards of glass.
Meanwhile, the Eurovision presidency reported that the group’s soloist would have to take a drug test after the allegations.
As you know, the song “Zitti E Buoni” performed by the Italian rock band “Måneskin” won this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Meanwhile, the Latvian representative Samanta Tīna has taken the last place in the second semi-final and is also in the competition of all 39 member states.
