PT Transport Jakarta (TransJakarta) will test a bus made by Moeldoko, PT Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB). The electric bus uses a normal floor model with a length of 12 meters.
President Director of PT MAB Kelik Irwantono said his party had many variants to offer. The price also varies depending on the model selected.
“So we have 2 types, first there are 12 meters, there are 8 meters. Even 12 meters have various variants, there are low entry, normal floors, there are high decks. We use TransJakarta with normal floors,” said Kelik here. JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

“For the price of a 12-meter bus, the price of the LKPP (Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency) is around Rp. 5 billion. That price includes VAT excluding transfer fees. If (the size of the bus) is 8 meters, it is around Rp. 3 billion,” he explained.
As is known, MAB is also trying to become a TransJakarta transportation. But the electric bus that TransJakarta is currently using is BYD, with the agent holding the brand PT Bakrie and Brothers.
Kelik said the price of electric buses is lower than competitors. “Between Rp 500 to Rp 1 billion,” he said.

TransJakarta will use the MAB electric bus. One MAB bus unit on the route that has not been crossed by Monas – Ragunan (Corridor 6) starting Monday, August 1, 2022.
Glancing at the specifications of the electric bus that TransJakarta has tested, it is known that it uses local components of 35 percent with a distance of 250 km. It has a battery capacity of 315.85 kWh and a battery charging time of 1.5 – 2 hours.
As is known, Transjakarta’s electric bus fleet is now produced by a manufacturer from China, BYD (Build Your Dream) with the agent holding the brand PT Bakrie and Brothers. Meanwhile, 30 units of the BYD K9 electric bus are operated by the Autobus Company (PO) PT Mayasari Bakti.
This electric bus has operational routes that focus on non-BRT routes, namely routes 1P (Terminal Senen-Senayan Roundabout), 1R (Tanah Abang-Terminal Senen), 1N (Blok M-Tanah Abang), and 6N (Ragunan-Blok M). . This electric bus will operate from 06.00-21.00 WIB.
