Coronavirus cases continue to decline in the city and there is a neighborhood that stands out for its consistency in the rates of fewer infections.
The Upper West Side leads the lowest rate of positivity of the five counties with 3.5%, in a six-month streak of decline in the contagion curve.

Yet some wonder if this is not because New Yorkers are simply getting less tests for COVID.
But the Upper West Side is also one of the neighborhoods with the most coronavirus tests.
Statistics also indicate that this neighborhood is one of those with the largest population of vaccinated, with 76% of residents having at least one dose and 64% completely inoculated.
Public health experts attribute this success to the demographic characteristics of the area that has a greater number of professional workers who work from home and that welcomed the use of masks.
