The city of Chartres (Eure-et-Loir)Land of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is setting up more than a month of sports this summer, from July 11 to August 26, 2022, for young people from 6 to 17 years old. Almost all possible and imaginable sports are available at this Holiday Village.
A multitude of sports
All of these activities will take place at the Bas-Bourgs stadium, except for Thursday July 14 and Monday August 15, two dates when no sport will be offered. The Holiday Village is closed on public holidays.
The sports are divided into three groups, the first for 6-8 year olds, the second for 9-12 year olds and the last for 13-17 year olds. In all cases, activities start at 9 h and end at 17 h 45. The days are divided into three to four different sports sessions, for example table tennis in the morning, ultimate before eating and basketball in the afternoon. Each session lasts just over an hour, with a slight difference depending on the sports practiced.
There is a schedule for the month of July and another that will start from August 1st, with different sports. In July, 6-8 year olds will play basketball, group games, orienteering and foot-golf on Wednesdays, and in August, they will move on to sandball (beach handball), swingolf and foot-golf that same day.
Pell-mell, some other sports offered during the summer: Beach soccer, 3×3 basketball, Athletics, Tennis-ball, Tchoukball, Mölkky, and many others…
Registrations open soon
The activities of the Holiday Village are free and only reserved for Chartres children from 6 to 17 years old. Registration, which will begin on July 11 at 9 a.m., is compulsory and is done at the Bas-Bourgs stadium in Chartres, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., with signature of parental authority. Registrations cannot be made by telephone.
With regard to nautical activities such as kayaka photocopy of the swimming certificate must be provided, without this, no practice.
At the same time, Chartres also offers two other sporting events during the summer: the sports wednesdaysor entertainment in the city center, as well as summer quartersor sports activities within the Maisons pour Tous des Clos and Madeleine.
