(24 News) The Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang has released a report on the government’s goals for 2023.
According to the details, the government work report was presented at the beginning of the first session of the 14th National People’s Congress in Beijing, in which important goals for 2023 have been set.
According to the report, China has set its GDP growth target at around 5 percent for 2023, targeting an increase in the inflation rate, or consumer price index (CPI), of around 3 percent. As a matter of fact, the GDP ratio is expected to be 3 percent by 2023, while the target is to create about 12 million jobs.
The report also stated that China will implement monetary policy in accordance with the target, increase the intensity and effectiveness of active monetary policy, and maintain the RMB exchange rate at a generally adaptive, balanced level. Efforts to attract and utilize foreign investment will be intensified, while China will encourage and support the private sector.
The 2023 working report states that China will firmly oppose “Taiwan independence” and push for peaceful reunification, work together with the international community to implement global development initiatives, global security initiatives. In addition to this, China will also take steps to conduct military operations, increase war preparations, and increase military capabilities.
