What is the best airline to fly to New York?

More than twenty airlines offer flights between France and New York. Which one to choose? To help you, we regularly conduct a survey of our members groupe Facebook DESTINATION NEW YORK. Note: As many of our members travel with Air France and have not had the opportunity to compare themselves with other airlines, the purpose of this survey is primarily to compile a list of preferred airlines. This survey was conducted in October 2022.

  • Air France

    The French flag carrier stands out as the airline most used by the members of our group. 52% of people who responded to the survey recommend it! “Air France without hesitation”, launches Marie B.

  • Delta Airlines

    Founded in 1924 in Atlanta, Delta Airlines offers direct flights from Paris, Nice, Brussels and Geneva. This airline has signed a partnership with Air France. It won 12% of the votes in our poll.

  • United airlines

    After its merger with Continental in 2012, United Airlines gained weight. He also founded the Star Alliance, with Lufthansa. It offers direct flights from many major European cities. The American company got 7% ​​of the votes, clearly ahead of Lufthansa.

  • American Airlines

    Founded in 1930, American Airlines has established itself as one of America’s leading airlines. It offers direct flights to New York from most major European cities. In our poll, however, it only gets 5% of the votes. A low score but comparable to our previous 2017 survey.

  • Brussels Airlines

    Brussels Airlines was created in 2002 after SN Brussels Airlines went bankrupt. The Belgian airline was then taken over by Lufthansa in 2016. It offers direct flights to New York from Brussels and is necessarily the preferred airline by Belgians! Gets 4% of the votes.
    Air Alliance: Star Alliance.

  • French bee

    Created in 2016, this airline has launched low cost flights between Paris Orly and Newark Airport. It has established itself perfectly on the market: as proof, 3% of the people who responded to our survey voted in favor.

  • Lufthansa

    The German airline flies to New York from Frankfurt, its main airport. However, this option is still little used if we want to believe the results of our survey: only 3% of respondents recommend it.

  • Swiss

    A subsidiary of Lufthansa, the Swiss airline operates direct flights to New York from Geneva and Zurich. The Swiss of the group make it by far their favorite airline, due to its reliability. It got 2% of the votes, almost as much as its parent company Lufthansa.

  • British Airways

    This British company belongs to the IAG group, which also owns the Spanish Iberia and Vueling, the British Openskies and the Irish Aer Lingus. It stands out as the airline with the most flights to New York, departing from London! It gets 2% of the votes in our poll.

  • …And the others !
    Fourteen airlines received less than 1% of the votes: KLM, ITA Airways, Icelandair, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Air Europa, Austrian, La Compagnie, Singapore Airlines, Air Canada, TAP Air Portugal, Aer Lingus, El Al, Iberia and Virgin Atlantic.
