DB and Vazrazhdane got into a heated debate over whether Putin is an enemy of the Bulgarians or not during the debates over the replacement of Defense Minister Stefan Yanev.
“Putin is not an enemy of the Bulgarians, because we have no hostile relations with Russia,” Kostadin Kostadinov said.
“No, our enemy is Putin, because this is a tyrant who is embarking on a bloody adventure,” said Hristo Ivanov. “This is a crime against Russia in the first place,” he said, adding that the Russians would never forgive the Russian president.
“He is our enemy because he is attacking a peaceful people like Ukraine. Putin is our enemy because his war is not just for Ukraine, but for redefining the security situation in Eastern Europe,” the leader of “Yes, Bulgaria” said. co-chair of the DB.
“We can no longer present ourselves as a neutral country – this era is over,” Ivanov stressed. “This war is an aggression against the very foundations of the international order,” he concluded.
“The concept of war is an international term from international law, it defines the consequences associated with this term, Putin’s reluctance is reluctance to admit that he is on the ground of the Hague Convention,” said Hristo Ivanov.
