For this reason, the Federal Police wants Bolsonaro and 36 other people to be prosecuted mainly for these three crimes: The intention to make a Coup d’état; the violent suppression of democratic rule of law and the creation of a criminal organization. According to the investigations carried out and extensive evidence, the Coup would not have been carried out because of “circumstances beyond the control of the former president” and his associates.
The first of them is that they did not have the support of the Commander and the leadership of the army, or from the Commander and the first echelon of the Air Force. The only commander who was willing to participate in this plot was Admiral Almir Garnier of the Navy, who sent his troops to the hands of the president and, as the interception talks showing, whose arsenal and Navy tanks were “ready” for action. if President Bolsonaro asks for it.
