But soon they will have to face a little novelty: “ Luxchat ».
The latter will be fully developed and hosted at Luxembourg, according to Marc Hansen, minister delegate for digitalisation. We will explain everything to you.

A future instant messaging application for greater security, according to Marc Hansen who recalled the importance of data management and processing as well as digital sovereignty.
The “Luxchat” application is the result of the Ministry’s desire to provide a secure means of communication for professional communications within the public sector. It operates on a secure infrastructure located in Luxembourg.
Towards an app available to the entire population, including cross-border workers
According to the Ministry of Digitization, contacted by News Luxembourgthe launch of the application is expected in “a few months”.
Initially, “it will be a release intended for government officials only Luxembourgish”, explain the authorities. However, the general population is expected to be able to obtain Luxchat in the future due to its many security-related benefits, according to the government.
As such, the ministry tells us that “the Cross-border workers will also be able to benefit from the Luxchat service great-public”.
The latter will be able to find the application “in the usual shops within a few months”, assures the ministry. So be patient…
