“For the first time, New York is sleeping.”
How do Quebeckers living abroad experience confinement, depending on the country where they have taken up residence?
Already in contact with expatriates from here thanks to his “Expat” series, on CASA, Jean-Michel Péloquin has decided to extend his meetings in web capsules adapted to the context of the raging pandemic.
In this first video, Quebecer Anita Da Silva, fashion designer, tells us how life is in New York, the city that never sleeps – usually – ever.
The one who took up residence in the Big Apple 11 years ago speaks to us in particular of the containment rules in force, and the sirens that she hears more than before across Manhattan.
She also comments on the city’s economic situation, which many qualify, she said, as “worse than 9/11”.
To see the other videos “Expat in confinement” in Japan, Guadeloupe, United Arab Emirates and France, it’s this way.
