You will no doubt have noticed: the Côte-d’Or woke up this Tuesday morning under a yellowish sky. Moreover, if your vehicle is parked outside, you must have had the unpleasant surprise of seeing it covered in dust.
To understand this phenomenon, you have to look at the weather. As indicated by Frédéric Decker, meteorologist at MétéoNews, a sandstorm has blown in the Sahara desert, in Morocco, in recent hours. A very marked southerly flow sent the sand particles into the atmosphere, then a depression in the Balearic Islands allowed the sand to rise very far north, as far as France and even as far as Benelux. A fine rain then brought the grains of sand down to the ground… without sparing the cars!
