What is happening at the San José Iturbide City Council? For this reason there is conflict

San José Iturbide, Guanajuato.- Through statements issued by the state committees that champion the opposition faction in the Iturbidense City Council, they supported their members who, last Thursday, October 10, voted against the agenda of the first session of the City hall of San José de Iturbide.

Likewise, the parliamentary faction of Morena In the Congress of Guanajuato he only pointed out the councilors of Acción Nacional (PAN), Hilda Carolina Ferro Zarazúa y Víctor Basaldúa Vázquezto stop the first session of the City Council in San José de Iturbide.

These statements, issued between October 10 and 14 by the state committees of the PAN, PRI, MC and PT, asked the mayor of Iturbid, Edgar Manuel Montes de la Vega, to resume dialogue and respect the opinions of his peers, as well as privilege citizens and their needs. Likewise, they supported the councilors: Lorena Reséndiz Vázquez (Morena), Hilda Carolina Ferro Zarazúa (PAN), María de la Luz Zarazúa Monjaraz (PRI), Víctor Metodio Basaldúa Vázquez (PAN), Luis Martín Herrera Soto (PT) and Celso Antonio Mata Minutti (MC).

“It is time to put the interests of the community before political differences and work together to find solutions that allow progress in the governance and development of the municipality,” mentions one of the statements.

For its part, the statement from the Morena parliamentary faction in the Congress of Guanajuato mentions that the councilors of National Action (PAN), Hilda Carolina Ferro Zarazúa and Víctor Basaldúa Vázquez, voted against the agenda, expressing their lack of willingness so that legality passes in the installation of the City Council, without mentioning other councilors.

Likewise, it indicates that the deputies of the Morena Parliamentary Group support the municipal president of San José de Iturbide, Edgar Manuel Montes de la Vega, who has acted legally at all times and has not submitted to de facto powers.

It is worth mentioning that, on October 10, it was reported that, during the first ordinary session of the incoming city council, councilors Lorena Reséndiz Vázquez (Morena), Hilda Carolina Ferro Zarazúa (PAN), María de la Luz Zarazúa Monjaraz (PRI) , Víctor Metodio Basaldúa Vázquez (PAN), Luis Martín Herrera Soto (PT) and Celso Antonio Mata Minutti (MC), voted against the agenda of the first session. This was due to the lack of information necessary for the appointments of the City Council Secretary and Municipal Treasury, among other points, such as the lack of transparency in the process, which caused the session to end abruptly.

Therefore, one day later, on October 11, the Iturbidense mayor Manuel Montes de la Vega reported that he filed a lawsuit with the Local Congress for the contempt committed by six councilors during the first session of City hallrequesting the revocation of the councilors’ mandate.
