Education is what serves you every day. It is your parents who take care of it from an early age, so you learn to speak, listen, communicate and be polite. They are also the ones who show you how to respect the world around you, animals, plants, by not polluting and by accepting the rules.
But can you be educated without the help of your parents?
Yes you can ! At school by learning lots of things, like playing and working in a team, things that will serve you well in life. And you also learn in other places: museums, libraries, planetariums, at the cinema, or even while walking! You also discover a lot on your own by reading books or magazines, watching television reports or researching the Internet. Sometimes you may need to be re-educated after an accident, illness, psychological shock or a long stay in space! And you also educate your dog, your cat, and all kinds of animals.
We are not all educated in the same way: things change from one family to another, from one country to another… And even from one era to another. Your ancestors surely weren’t raised like you. Finally, you can be educated in many different ways. And you have to be happy and proud because a good education allows you to be able to live with others.
