A new Corona regulation came into force in Hamburg on Ascension Day. But not much will change for the people of Hamburg this time.

Even if you often forget it in everyday life: Some Corona rules still apply. For example, FFP2 masks still have to be worn in hospitals and medical practices – as they do on buses and trains. In nursing homes, medical masks are now sufficient for visitors.

PCR tests no longer required for infected people

And there are a few more small changes in the new regulation: In future, people infected with corona will no longer have to do a PCR test. If you have a positive rapid test from a test station, you can leave it at that. Infected people must continue to isolate themselves for at least five days – but the authorities are no longer sending out instructions.

Proof of recovery only via the pharmacy

Proof of recovery will no longer be sent. But if you urgently need one, you still have to have the infection confirmed with a PCR test and can then have the proof with the results issued later in a pharmacy.
