TRAVEL INFORMATION ON Social Media:
Good morning ! The X feed (Twitter) of line J is a gold mine for knowing the traffic status on the line. However, it is no longer possible to access it without having an account on X for several months. At the same time, other platforms exist (Facebook, WhatsApp) or have developed (Threads, Bluesky). Can we hope one day to see the wire of the J line appear elsewhere?
Co
Hello Co,
Thank you for your message and for your appreciation of the X thread of the J line, it’s a pleasure to read! I completely understand your questions related to restricted access to this platform without an account, especially with the emergence of other tools like Threads or Blueskyin addition to already well-established networks like Facebook or WhatsApp.
For the moment, traffic information is disseminated via the channels recommended by Île-de-France Mobilités, the transport organizing authority in the Ile-de-France region. I will forward your suggestion to them so that they consider, if possible, expanding their presence to other platforms. You can also send them your request directly via their site or their own social networks, if you wish. Thank you again for your feedback, which helps us think about possible improvements. If you have any further questions or ideas, I’m here to discuss them.
See you soon !
nuisances on board:
Bonjour,
As indicated by a previous comment, more and more people are using their phone in speaker mode to listen to music or watch videos.
I suggest prohibiting the use of loudspeaker telephones and regularly broadcasting sound messages to indicate not to disturb other users.Matthieu
Hello Matthew,
Thank you for your message and for your suggestion and sorry that the situation continues. I completely understand your feelings about this type of behavior, which can harm the peace of your trip. You are not the only one to report this type of situation to us and I am sorry that this affects your comfort on board. Have you already contacted 31177? A total ban on the use of telephones in loudspeaker mode is an avenue that can be studied, even if it raises questions of feasibility. However, I will forward your proposal to the teams concerned so that they can study it.
At the same time, sound messages reminding the rules of respect between travelers, particularly regarding noise, could effectively help to raise user awareness. I also share this idea with the relevant services. Thank you again for your constructive feedback. I remain at your disposal if you wish to discuss further on this subject or on other aspects of the service.
Good day,
extension of the RER E towards the west of Paris:
Bonjour,
I use line J Poissy Paris St Lazare daily and was wondering if the extension of the RER E to Poissy and Mantes will have the effect of removing/replacing line J?
Concretely, the Poissy Paris St Lazare takes 17 minutes or 20 minutes if a stop is made at Houilles. What will happen with the arrival of the RER E? I imagine that it will stop everywhere between Poissy and St Lazare, hence my question on the articulation of the 2 (future) lines.
Thank you in advance for your response.QB
Hello QB,
Thank you for your question, it is completely legitimate, especially as a regular customer of line J. I understand your curiosity regarding the impact of the RER E extension to Mantes la Jolie via Poissy, on your current journeys. For now, the specific feedback I got is here. They were collected after an exchange with Nicolas, Project Manager for the RER E extension. The two lines will be linked to best meet the needs of travelers, with services which will remain distinct.
Concerning travel times, the RER E will indeed offer additional stops compared to your current direct train. This means that journeys may be a little longer. These adjustments are still being defined by Île-de-France Mobilités and SNCF Voyageurs. I will pass on your question so that it contributes to ongoing reflections and I will keep you informed as soon as details become available. Thank you again for your message and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions or suggestions.
See you soon.
