Ola John wants to show the Netherlands that he has not forgotten how to play football. On Sunday he left his mark during RKC Waalwijk – Feyenoord by giving his team the lead just before the end.
John is one step closer to where he wants to be, but there is still a long way to go. “We are not there yet, even today I had to gasp for breath again and again. But I am glad that I have shown joyfully what I can do. That makes me want more,” says John in conversation with the Algemeen Dagblad.
John made an impression at FC Twente ten years ago and earned a top transfer to Benfica there, but then dropped out. At RKC, the attacker hopes to be able to show himself again. “What I have proven is before. I want to prove that I still have it in me.”
