The creators knew no mercy.
For the sake of filming impressive action on the screen, filmmakers are ready for literally anything. The chase scene in the blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road deserves special attention.
The film crew had to sweat a lot, but it was worth it. Almost all of the stunts in the film were shot live, without the use of computer graphics. So, in one of the scenes, bandits swung on poles attached to cars.
To make it spectacular on screen, stunt director and coordinator Guy Norris enlisted a Cirque du Soleil performer to participate. He showed the actors how to work with poles. Surprisingly, the scene was shot in one take. During editing, the material was processed and the result was the most terrible and exciting episode of the film.
The Australian film starring Tom Hardy was highly praised by critics and viewers. Fury Road won six Academy Awards, including one for Best Production Design. The director’s work was justified.
