One of the basic concepts of Snapchat is that transmitted images and messages are only available to the recipient for a certain short period of time before becoming completely inaccessible.
Sounds simple and unoriginal? It could be! But according to an Edison Research study in April 2016, Snapchat was the second most popular social network in the United States after Facebook.
Founded in 2011 by two American students, this no-nonsense app with the fastest growing audience was conceived as a new social network that allows you to share instant photos and short videos (snaps) with friends that disappear 10 seconds after viewing.
However, very few people know exactly how long images are available before they are deleted. By default, most messages sent via Snapchat are automatically deleted after being viewed or expired.
The conditions for their cancellation are different. While one type of message has a 30-day retention period, another may only have a 24-hour retention period. How long does each chat have before it is deleted?
