Actor Ivars Kalniņš visited the TV3 show “900 Seconds”, who not only presented the new domestic series “Rīgas vārti”, but also talks about future plans for the profession of working actor.

Ivars Kalnins is one of the Latvian actors who has spent a large part of his career in Russia.

Asked whether he is no longer looking in that direction with Russia’s war in Ukraine, the actor emphasizes that more than half of the projects he has implemented outside Latvia have taken place in Ukraine.

“Of course, projects with the Ukrainians have stopped because it is physically impossible,” the actor said.

“I will have projects with the Ukrainians, the whole situation will calm down. But I have ended my relationship with Russia. I don’t call myself and I don’t want to disappoint people, “says Kalnins.
