‘There is no one living here’ It is one of the best known and beloved series in our country. Since its premiere in 2003, almost 20 years ago, several generations of viewers have followed the plot in its entirety, even today, thanks to its reruns on the thematic channel Antenna 3Atreseries, or through the different digital platforms that have this series in their catalog.
The series tells the story of a neighborhood community made up of six houses, a porter’s lodge and a shop where there is a video store. Parallel to the progress of the chapters, the neighbors live many adventures together, marked by the gossip and the mess that the building generates.
In this sense, the plot has left characters that are already part of the history of television in our country, such as Juan Cuesta, Emilio Delgado or Lucía ‘La pija’. But the series had many necessary characters that enriched largely the history of the Desengaño 21 building.

One of them was that of Natalia Cuesta, the teenage daughter of Juan Cuesta, who was played by the actress Sofía Nieto. In this sense, the character of Natalia was marked by the discrepancies that she starred in with her parents in fiction, even leaving the family home on several occasions. At the end of the series, Natalia Cuesta was the mother of a girl who caused chaos in the building due to her crying and who was born in the elevator of the building itself.
With the end of the series, Sofía Nieto participated in the exodus of actors who came to ‘the one that is coming‘, fiction in which she played the role of Sandra in the first two seasons. In the end, the actress disappeared from the series and focused on her academic career.
A new academic life
After moving away from the spotlights and the recording sets. Nieto managed to get a doctorate in Mathematics on the Autonomous University of Madridwhere she has been an adjunct professor between 2010 and 2016, teaching Linear Algebra and Geometry and Calculus II.
After her departure from ‘Mirador de montepinar’, little has been known about Sofía Nieto from the media point of view. In 2011, she collaborated with the newspaper ‘El País’ in which he solved a mathematical challenge.
Almost two decades have passed since the broadcasts of ‘Here there is no one who lives’ began on Antena 3, a series that has left many moments to remember and that it had a cast of actors that is in the memory of several generations of spectators in our country.
