Joe Corona lives one of the worst moments of his career, at only 31 years old, the former America player cannot find a team in the MLS and has been dropped from his previous club. Also, the player stopped appearing in the calls of the American team.

At the time Joe Corona could choose to represent Mexico at the international level. The player trained with the Xolos de Tijuana, debuted with them and even spent most of his career on Aztec soil, however, he decided to wear the United States shirt. The midfielder chose that option because he considered that he had more possibilities to play with the selection of the ‘Stars and Stripes’.
He was with the Tijuana for almost eight years, divided into two stages. With Xolos he was part of the team that achieved Ascent. Already in the first division he lifted the league title with them in the 2012 Apertura. He also had a short step by the Red Sharks Veracruz and with Dorados of Sinaloa.
In 2018 he took an important leap in his career and signed with América. However, Joe Corona was never able to consolidate with the Coapa team. Despite this, he had to be champion of the Apertura 2018 with the Eagles.

In 2019, given the few minutes of play he had, he decided to emigrate to the MLS. The LA Galaxy decided to sign him and found regularity for a season. His performance began to decline and at the end of 2020 he arrived at the Houston Dynamo.
He stayed a year in his new team and then the same Dynamo would thank him. The MLS team began with a squad restructuring and Joe Corona was not in the plans. It is even speculated that his departure was so that the Houston will enjoy a greater capital for the signing of Héctor Herrera.
Today Joe Corona is without a team in the MLS, there are no signs that someone from Liga MX seeks to relocate him, much less a return to America. He is 31 years old and his future is uncertain.
