The driver of a van was caught while driving backwards on the A1 Turda-Sebeş highway.
The man was fined 1,305 lei by the police and his driver’s license was suspended for 120 days.
“On March 10, 2023, following a notification regarding the fact that the driver of a utility vehicle allegedly performed a reverse maneuver on the A1 Turda – Sebeş Highway, the police officers of the A1 Râmnicu Vâlcea – Deva Highway Police Bureau carried out checks, in order to identify this one. From the investigations, it emerged that the van was driven by a 45-year-old man from the city of Bucharest”, IPJ Alba reported on Saturday.
The man behind the wheel of the van was fined and his driver’s license was suspended.
“In relation to this, the police took the measure of contraventional sanctioning, with a fine of 1,305 lei, in accordance with the provisions of GEO 195/2002 regarding traffic on public roads, and, in addition, the measure of withholding the driver’s license was ordered, for a period of 120 days”, stated IPJ Alba.
The police draw attention to the fact that, in such situations, the measure of suspension of the driver’s license has immediate applicability, and the driver does not have the possibility to request a reduction of the suspension period.
