The dawn of Friday to Saturday was busy for Brazil at the Tokyo Olympic Games. The eighth official day of competitions came with a historic medal in tennis, as well as a big step towards the podium in sailing.

Historic Bronze in Tennis

Laura Pigossi and Luisa Stefani made history for Brazilian tennis at the Olympics. She beat Russians Veronika Kudermetova and Elena Vesnina in the bronze dispute and won the first Olympic medal in Brazil in the sport’s history.
