The Lebanese artist, Fares Karam, responded to the request of his fans, and re-released his famous song “Al-Hada”, which was released in 2006, as part of his album at the time, titled “Waadni”.
Karam released the song, whose lyrics were written by Faris Iskandar, composed by Salim Salama, and arranged by Roger Khoury, with a new musical arrangement with distributor Omar Al-Sabbagh. The song, a day after it was released on the artist’s page on the YouTube platform, achieved more than 100 views.
The reason for the audience’s interaction with the song “Al-Hada”, 17 years after its release and re-circulation, was the spread of a clip of the song with the voice of the Palestinian artist, Haitham Jishi, on the “Tik Tok” application, where he sang it as part of the New Year 2023 concerts.
Karam said, in previous press statements, that he would respond to the public’s request to re-release the song with a new musical arrangement, expressing his happiness with the great success achieved by the song, and it was topped by the “trend” on the “Tik Tok” application. He added, “I am very happy with the success of the song and the audience’s love for it, with the voice of everyone who sang it, and the song was the face of goodness for me in 2006.”
Karam pointed out that the success of the song “Al-Hada” came as a result of the availability of all the tools that help the success of a musical work, stressing: “Her words are sweet…and her melody is sweet…it has all the tools that help in its success.”
He also tweeted on his official documented page on the “Twitter” platform, saying that the song caused a sensation when it was released, indicating that he was subjected to a great attack by some, given that the words of the song were shocking.
The poet Fares Iskandar added a new clip to the song, sung by Fares Karam, in which he says: “This gesture engraves my heart … and the Baabda vanguard, from 2006, and I am singing to you on this, on this I walk calmly .. sweet and you have no end.”
The last song that Karam released was the song “God, God, Ya Dani”, written and composed by Fares Iskandar, distributed by Omar Sabbagh, and the clip directed by Sam Kayal.
In a related context, Fares Karam finished recording two lyrical albums at once. The first is written by the poet Emile Fahd, composed by Wissam Al-Amir and arranged by Walid Qablan. It includes five hymns dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and it will be released next May. The second is an emotional lyrical album that includes six songs that will be released.
