What does the sunset look like on other planets (video)

Researcher Jeronimo Villanueva from the Goddard Space Flight Center has created impressive computer simulations of sunsets on Uranus, Mars and other planets.

The beauty of the sunset is created by the interaction of sunlight with gases and dust in the atmosphere. The smaller the atmosphere, the less impressive the sunset, says the scientist.

On Venus during sunset bright yellow the sky turns orange, brown, and then black. Since the planet rotates around its axis very slowly, it takes about 116 times more time to watch sunset on Venus than on Earth. But the Martian sunset will be painted in muddy brown and bright yellow colors.

Villanueva also showed simulations of sunsets on Titan and the exoplanet TRAPPIST-1 e.
