What does Samanta Tina have with her at Eurovision?

On May 20, in Rotterdam, she will climb the stage of the second semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “The Moon is Rising”. Samantina Tina went to Rotterdam with three suitcases, but that’s not all, because the clothes are taken in the cabin of the plane. “We talked to the airline because, firstly, these costumes can’t be folded in suitcases, and secondly, I’ll feel safer if the stage costume is in my sight – God forbid if I get lost!”

Samanta’s delegation consists of ten people, including background singers, a make-up artist and Samanta’s very close friend, artist and stylist Kasher or Kaspars Blūms-Blūmanis, who is responsible for Samanta’s style.

Queen’s flag

Samantai will have two such flags with the inscription “The Queen”. “They will definitely flutter in the green with the Latvian flag,” says the singer.

Two pairs of such green shoes have been sewn specifically for Samantai to participate in Eurovision. Why two? For safety – if anything happens to a shoe, there will be at least a reserve. The shoes are embroidered by hand, and this is the first time that the shoes have been specially made for Samantha, especially for one event – the Eurovision stage in Rotterdam.

This is not a stage costume

But one of the many other outfits that Samantai has with him. “Stage costumes should not be shown to anyone. It must be kept secret until the first rehearsal. However, it is no secret that the stage costume will be green, so the green theme will run through us, ”says Samanta Tīna, saying that she has taken care of seven more eight costumes for Eurovision, and this is one of them. “Each of them is specially selected with appropriate, carefully matched jewelry, tiaras, earrings and other accessories.”

According to Samanta Tīna, the best wig master in Latvia Amuna Davis, has made it. This wig will be an accessory for one of the representation costumes, but Samanta has especially thought about them. “During the Eurovision Song Contest, many different events will take place – presentations, meetings, press conferences, interviews. And for each of them I have a different costume – Kaspars has created sketches, specifically in which event I will look. I will definitely not be the one to go to the interview in the sneakers, because I present my country, I have to look thoughtful and perfect all the time! But in my hotel room I will be able to relax in slippers and tracksuits. ”

Samantai also has specially designed face masks to match her stage image. As well as gloves, jewelry and other accessories. Many of it are made by local designers, as well as donated to Samantai and taken care of by supporters. “Take off your hat for such support!” grateful to the singer.

Samantha comes with aromatic sticks. “It simply came to our notice then. It is important to me that the place where I stay has an atmosphere where I feel in harmony with myself. That’s why I always have aromatic incense sticks with me. I buy them in the center of Krišnasa, where the sellers already know me well and know what I need, ”says Samanta, who loves the scent of Lotus Blue and Pride, as well as the smell of Palo Santo or the Holy Tree. “I smoke at home all the time. This is my environment, and it is very, very important to me. ”

Cards for fans

But this block is special to me. It was presented at the beginning of the year by my make-up specialist Jana Kozlova, who is also going to Eurovision in my team. The notebook is covered with dark green velvet, and it is written “Eurovision” in gold letters. I wonder how to use it so special, if it was already presented to me so specifically? And it came to my mind to offer all the people – who are close and dear to me, who are so important to me in this phase of Eurovision preparation, to my whole team – to write my wishes. It is now like a relic for me to take with me to read and remember these wishes. It’s really a heartfelt feeling. “

Without ear monitors no way

“It is good that this emergency happened in the last attempt before departure. One of my ear monitors collapsed, without which it would be impossible to speak. We already laughed – it is good that this did not happen in Rotterdam, because at least now there was time and opportunities to look for something instead. And here I have to say a huge thank you to A&T trade for responding to the new headphones that were right for me – the last ones that were available! ” Satisfied, the singer says, adding that the Happy Cards are with her to have something to shorten the time in the moments of rest: “Because we will really live in each of our rooms and try to avoid unnecessary contacts.”
