Another completely renovated BDZ locomotive is already on the tracks. This is the second machine completely restored by the Czechs, which was heavily depreciated and permanently stopped.
The repaired locomotive is part of the implementation of two contracts for overhaul of a total of 20 electric locomotives of series 44, which are implemented after procedures conducted in late 2019 by the Association “Rail Services”, the Czech Republic and “Jos Vrutki”. Slovakia. The overhaul includes a complete replacement of all elements in the locomotives with brand new parts and equipment.
BDZ sent photos of the locomotive before the repairs started, during its renovation and when it is ready, to see how a machine that can move on the rails turns from a waste.

Despite the delay in the initially announced deadlines for the implementation of repairs, caused by the restrictive measures against the spread of COVID-19, it is expected that each month until the end of 2021 under the contract with the plants will be phased out completely repaired locomotives.
