I’m torn right now, my husband and I can’t agree on a name. He would like Kylie, I would be more in favor
Kayla
Or
Mia
Of course, I also think about how the name will later be accepted at daycare or school.

Unfortunately I don’t like Kylie or Kyla, then I would choose Mia.
If you don’t mind that a lot of girls are called that.
Then I think it also depends a bit on the last name.
My vote is for Mia.

Honestly? I live in the country myself, and like you, I stand out because I’m older and I’m still so bold and I’m having my 8th child (which we finance completely ourselves, apart from the normal child benefit)
Kylie or Kayla (although he would be more accepted) would be absolute pigeonholed names here.
I like rare names but I decided not to give my children names like that, they stand out because we have so many children (that was the decision of my husband and I) they shouldn’t stand out when given the name
I think Mia is pretty otherwise as a compromise Kayla

I think all the names are ok, but I wouldn’t give them myself. I think Mia is the best and I don’t feel like it’s that common; I actually haven’t met Mia yet.
For me, Kylie is a name that I mainly know from the tabloid press and associate with it… Kylie Jenner, the singer… not a name that I want for my children.
Kyra might be a compromise.

Hmm, difficult. I actually don’t think Kylie is that bad and I’m not that interested in drawers. It just sounds a little too cute for me. And it makes me think of an Otto sketch (“Keili”), which most people probably don’t even know anymore.
Kayla reads well, sounds nice too, but doesn’t blow me away.
Unfortunately I don’t like Mia at all.
But how about two names? Mia Kylie?

To be honest, I know a really lovely Kevin, now almost 20, studying, playing football very integrated here, the name came about because the mother has relatives in the Philippines and they can probably do more with Kevin than with Anton and the German relatives get along better with the name than with one from the Philippines.
But I also know a Damian Lennox who was expelled from school and is now in special school and goes crazy every time you call him by his name and don’t address him by his nickname.
Of course, all of this can also happen with an Anton or Jonas, but especially here in rural areas, such children still get a stamp on them. You have to decide for yourself whether you want that for your child.
And yes, things certainly look different in big cities

I would probably also use Mia, even though that name is very common here. LG

There is also a lawyer here with the first name Jason, of course such drawers are absolutely stupid but they can still be found in the country.
As far as I know, you also live in Hamburg, so the world looks completely different again

yes, of course. Jason can also be pronounced in German. Then it looks different again, I think. But, there are drawers in HH too… or even, tell me what your name is and I’ll tell you which part of town you come from. Also very stupid.

I don’t think much of the name Kylie, it sounds too American, dubious and like a nickname to me.
I think Kayla is better as a full name and Kylie can then be the nickname.
I think Mia and Kayla are both okay.

Kylie wouldn’t be my thing, I think Kayla is a little better, even better and maybe a solution for both of you Kaya, Carly or Mayla?!
I find Mia rather boring and is of course very common compared to the other two.

Kaya would also be a good alternative for me because I’m just not convinced by Kylie. As has already been written here, I also associate with Kylie Minogue or Jenner. I just need the right arguments for my husband
