Alcohol, nicotine and medicines reach the baby through breast milk. Not every mother breastfeeds. Some women opt for bottle feeding. These brand new mothers could drink a glass of wine right after giving birth. The latest figures from the national government show that almost 70 percent of mothers start breastfeeding. After a month this is only about 47 percent.
