The MBC entertainment show “What do you do when you play?” aired on the 3rd was decorated with “Beggars of Seoul”. Yoo Jae-seok, Jung Jun-ha, Haha and Shin Bong-seon went on a trip to Seoul for their younger brothers Park Jin-joo, Lee Yi-kyung and Lee Mi-joo’s wish list.
According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research firm, “What do you do when you play?” Household ratings recorded 5.8% in the metropolitan area. The viewership of 2049, a key indicator of the channel’s competitiveness, was 3.1%, ranking first among all entertainment programs broadcast on Saturdays. The best minute was the scene of seven beggars and a brother and sister eating street food in Insa-dong, and the highest viewership per minute rating rose to 7.5%.
The seven beggar brothers who last climbed Mount Acha to eat free food gathered in central Seoul. They entered the restaurant with their hearts pounding and happily ate while singing Gakseol in Taryeong. After the meal, PD Park Chang-hoon explained, “I’ve lived in Seoul for 10 years, but I’m on the ‘Seoul beggars’ side, where I do all the things I wanted to do in Seoul for my younger siblings who don’t they saw Seoul well”.
Park Jin-joo chose “Ride the cable car up Namsan Mountain and make a wish with a padlock on it”, Lee Mi-joo “Ride a city tour bus and visit every nook and cranny of Seoul’s attractions” and Lee Yi-kyung ‘Walking through Insa-dong and tasting famous street food’ as their wish list. Members were shocked that they had to calculate all expenses for their trip to Seoul, including the price of the meal they just ate. The bill handed to Yoo Jae-seok reads, “Getting money by entrusting personal belongings. It has been written that it is possible to earn money through missions, and eventually members started traveling by paying off debts.
First, the members who came to Namsan for Park Jin-joo’s wish list saw the crowd and tried to avoid their eyes, saying, “There are too many people” and “There are so many citizens out”. Also, when he met a foreigner, he said, “We are rich” and laughed while he was embarrassed by the beggar’s trick. Meanwhile, Haha and Shin Bong-seon attracted attention by asking “Give me a dollar” to the photo request. Members who reached the top by cable car watched Seoul unfold, and Park Jin-joo, Lee Yi-kyung and Lee Mi-joo were happy to see Namsan Mountain for the first time in their lives.
The next course was riding Lee Mi-joo’s bucket list city tour bus. Yoo Jae-seok expressed his satisfaction with admiration, saying, “This is a jackpot,” “(I live in Seoul) why didn’t I think of riding this?” Next, they visited meccas of Seoul, such as Bank of Korea Headquarters, Myeong-dong and Chungmuro, and explored a different side of Seoul. Seeing the street clapping at Gwanghwamun Square, they cheered together.
Finally, the members headed to Insa-dong, which was on Lee Yi-kyung’s wish list, and went on a street food tour to fill their hungry stomachs. Yoo Jae-seok expressed his confidence in Insa-dong alley, saying, “I lived here almost when I was in high school.” Lee Yi-gyeong, who ate his first street food at a hotteok restaurant, said, “It was my first time visiting Namsan and Seoul City Tour Bus. I live in Seoul, but I think I made some memories by going to a place that everyone knows for the first time.”
On the other hand, in next week’s trailer, released on the same day, the members who turned into agents attracted attention with the appearance of restoring memories. James (Yoo Jae-seok), Ratatouille (Park Jin-joo), Sophia (Lee Mi-joo), Lady Nana (Shin Bong-seon), Big Bar (Lee Yi-kyung), Nino (Haha) and Poongchae (Jung Jun-ha) appeared, raising expectations for the “Nol-Muh-Restore” story.
