Crefeld, January 11. As the new year begins, those interested in studying at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences can discover the wide range of study opportunities. From 13 January to 3 February, the study orientation weeks will take place at the Krefeld and Mönchengladbach locations as well as online. In this context, there are numerous events on the offer of courses in all ten departments.

On the agenda are the university days of the departments and digital laboratories, lectures and the possibility of individual consultancy. In addition to specialist offerings, students can also attend information events on general topics such as applications or funding.

The Engineering Day will kick off on January 13th. On this information day for those interested in technology, the departments of electrical and computer engineering, mechanical and process engineering, industrial and chemical engineering present, among other things, research projects, lectures for students and the high-tech laboratory MakerSpace .

During the campus days, individual departments invite you to an extensive program. Prospective students can check out laboratories, workshops and campus facilities. Those interested can immerse themselves in the contents of the course in workshops and lectures. Current students often report on their daily lives.

Mechanical engineering departments also offer digital courses. “Engineers for environmental protection and a better future” or “The weather report as a model: How software can make flow processes in industry more sustainable” are just some of the online offers.

The advisors of the central student advisory service of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences also offer an online general program. The ArbeiterKind.de initiative and the Federal Employment Agency also provide digital advice to interested parties. The Study Orientation Weeks are a joint initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Science, the Ministry of School and Education, the Regional Directorate of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Federal Employment Agency and the Universities of North Rhine-Westphalia.
