The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) held the initial Isbat Session of Dzulhijjah this evening, Wednesday (29/6/2022).
Through this Isbat Session, the government will determine Hari Raya Eid al-Adha 2022 falls on what date.
Head of the Sub-directorate of Hisab Rukyat and Sharia of the Directorate General of Islamic Guidance at the Ministry of Religion, Ismail Fahmi, said the Isbat Session this afternoon was divided into three stages and started at 17.00 WIB.
“The first session will start at 17.00 WIB, in the form of an explanation of the position of the hilal of the Beginning of Zulhijah 1443 Hijri by members of the Ministry of Religion’s Hijri Calendar Unification Team,” he said.
After that, the second session was carried out, namely the submission of a report on the reckoning data and the results of the rukyatul hilal from a number of specified points in Indonesia.
Followed by the third session, namely the announcement of the results of the Initial Isbat Zulhijah Session which was broadcast live by TVRI as a TV Pool and live streaming of the Ministry of Religion’s social media.
