With an amount of up to PLN 4,000 to spend on a computer set this month, we can already reach for really efficient components, and in addition we can afford a slightly more gaming look. All thanks to significant reductions in components.

This time, the additional payment of PLN 500 compared to the set for PLN 3,500 allowed us to slightly increase the comfort of using the set. The extra charge for the AMD Radeon graphics card increased the performance in classic rendering, maintaining similar performance when ray tracing was activated. A larger disk was also smuggled in. What is worth knowing about the recommended computer set for PLN 4,000?
The advantage of AMD Advantage – a combination of an AMD processor and graphics card
After the price reductions of AMD processors that took place in November last year, everyone was waiting for Intel’s move in the form of the introduction of the Core i5-13400F with an attractive price. The plan was only partially successful, i.e. Core i5-13400F is now available, but the price is not attractive … So the set for PLN 4,000 again remains with the excellent, 6-core and 12-thread AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (without X). Its performance will not only satisfy every currently available game, but also cope with more advanced tasks. It is also worth bearing in mind that in the future it will be possible to speed up the set even more by changing the processor to AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
Ryzen 5 5600 is currently one of the most cost-effective processors, whose performance actually oscillates around the Core i5-12400F.
This time we chose the graphics card from the same camp as the processor – AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT is a refreshed (and accelerated) version of the RX 6600 XT, which is quite noticeably (by 15%) ahead of the RTX 3060 12 GB, while being cheaper. Yes – with ray tracing activated, GeForce takes a slight lead, but as recent releases of new games (e.g. Hogwarts Legacy) have shown, none of these cards are suitable for using ray tracing in its full glory, so it’s better to focus on performance without it. What you get in return is a performance boost by activating AMD Smart Access Memory (SAM, only available on all-AMD configurations) – unlocking the full potential of both the card and the CPU. An alternative was also the Intel ARC A770 – at least if you could get it below PLN 1,700.
AMD Radeon RX 6650XT is not a power-hungry card to require massive cooling – two fans will be enough here.
Motherboard, hard drive and memory go to the background
One of the reasons for lowering the budget for the graphics card was the need to choose a more expensive motherboard – the availability of previously recommended B450 motherboards has dropped to the point where they will not work in our guide (although realistically they are still a good choice). In this case, the Gigabyte B550M-DS3H motherboard went to the computer set for PLN 4,000 in March – basically the same type of board, but in a newer edition. Four DIMM slots will allow you to expand RAM in the future, an additional M.2 connector will allow you to add another fast SSD drive, and the only PCI-E x16 slot not covered by the graphics card will allow you to add, for example, a professional sound card or video graber to your computer. In this case, you don’t even need to update the BIOS to boot with the new processor.
A cost-effective motherboard can still allow for further expansion.
And since we’re talking about memories, in this case we decided to make a slight compromise. A better, but slightly more expensive choice would be RAM clocked at 3600 MHz, so if you can spend a little over PLN 4,000, it is definitely worth paying extra for such modules. AMD Ryzen 5000 processors definitely like fast memory. This time (due to the reduction in disk prices) we managed to fit in the set at least a larger SSD with a capacity of 1 TB (NVMe PCI-E 3.0). In the future, we can confidently add another drive or more memory, so we should not feel limited in this matter.

The power supply and the housing in such a set are not completely indifferent
Selected components, in particular the graphics card and the processor, can already emit so much heat that the choice of the housing should take into account good air circulation. This time, however, there is a bit more space in the budget, so we return to the previously recommended Genesis IRID 503 ARGB case, only this time in version 2.0. We have here not only a beautiful ARGB backlight (which we can control from the application level), but also a higher quality of workmanship and a lot of dust filters. At the top there are three USB connectors and two audio connectors for our convenience.

The valued Vero M3 power supply has also returned – a modular unit with a power of 600 W, so with a lot of room for future expansion. A set of protections and stable voltage control (thanks to the DC-DC converter) are just some of its advantages – right next to the 80Plus Bronze energy efficiency certificate. The most important thing, however, is that the mentioned modularity will allow us to use only the necessary cables during assembly, and put the rest in the box so that they do not take up space in the housing 🙂
What performance in games will a computer set up to PLN 4,000 offer?
Slightly higher performance of the graphics card, which in a computer set for PLN 3,500, had to translate into better performance in games. What we gain is the guarantee that the FPS will be appropriate in every game and that we will not be surprised by the whims of the Intel card driver. The duo recommended here (Radeon + Ryzen) actually allows you to play a lot of games in 1440p resolution or use the potential of 240-360-hertz monitors in e-sports games. As we mentioned, the newest games can resist trying to use ray tracing, but older games can be fun to play with as well. Below you can see what real performance you can count on in this type of set.

Choosing a powerful graphics card allows you to consider such a computer set as a real gaming computer. We can count on smooth gameplay in Full HD resolution and the ability to play the latest titles in the highest settings. It is also a good computer to start your adventure with streaming (thanks to the recently improved drivers and video encoder in AMD cards).
Is it a gaming computer for PLN 4,000, it will also handle something more than games?
The presence of a fair 6-core and 12-thread AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor translates into very decent performance in non-gaming applications. Unfortunately, the graphics card is a bit worse in this matter – the lack of CUDA cores and lower vRAM capacity (than in the RTX 3060 12 GB) make the Radeon perform noticeably worse in applications that support the GPU (such as Blender or DaVinci). Nevertheless, you can still work on it quite efficiently, but if this is to be the main reason for buying a computer, we advise you to write to the store about replacing the graphics card. A fast disk and RAM memory allow you to pleasantly interact with the computer in more mundane tasks, such as MS Office support, but if we expand this RAM, the set can actually be used as an efficient workstation, e.g. to work with the Adobe package.
Computer sets also need a system, and sometimes also Wi-Fi
A computer set is one thing, but depending on the situation, other products may also be necessary, such as a monitor, keyboard, mouse and other peripherals – of course you will also find them in the store komputronik.pl. However, what in particular may turn out to be important, and what we often forget when assembling a computer, is:
Windows 10 is still considered a slightly more stable system, but the (free) upgrade to Windows 11 is probably only a matter of time.
That’s right – without a system, both a gaming computer and a computer for work will not be useful for much. Let’s also remember that Windows 10 can be upgraded to Windows 11 for free (the process is fully automatic). In addition, the store staff can also be asked to add an assembly service – then we will receive the computer ready to work (the operating system will also be installed if we add it to the shopping cart).
