What can you actually do on the upcoming Pentecost holidays? Well, if you look at the East Hesse region, the answer is twofold. While level 1 of the opening plan of the Hessian state government applies to the Vogelsberg district and from Sunday also to the Main-Kinzig district, because the incidence values there are stable below 100, the federal emergency brake (still) applies to the districts of Fulda and Hersfeld-Rotenburg. Hessischer Rundfunk has unraveled what that means in concrete terms.

Cultural and leisure facilities

In districts and urban districts of level 1, outdoor areas of cultural and leisure facilities such as zoos, amusement parks or open-air museums may open subject to conditions; registration is required. A mask is also required when visiting interior rooms; a daily corona test is recommended. Zoos and botanical gardens are also allowed to open their outdoor areas to guests in regions regulated by the federal emergency brake. However, the visitors must present a negative rapid test, which must not be older than 24 hours. Fully vaccinated and convalescents with proof are exempt from this.

Hotels and Co.

Hotels, campsites, holiday homes and youth hostels are open with conditions in regions that fall into easing level 1. A corona test is required upon arrival and twice a week. Fully vaccinated or convalescent people do not have to provide evidence of the test. Common areas such as breakfast rooms may only be used to a maximum of 60 percent. Tourist overnight stays are not permitted in the districts and urban districts in which the federal emergency brake still applies.

Outdoor catering

In regions where the level 1 corona rules apply, outdoor catering is allowed to open. Conditions such as a daily corona test as well as distance, hygiene and contact rules must be observed. Guests have to wear a mask until they reach the seat, a seat is mandatory. In addition, the contact details are recorded. In the regions of level 1, meetings are also possible with a total of two households – those who have been completely vaccinated and those who have recovered may also come. In the districts and cities that are still regulated by the federal emergency brake, meetings should be limited to one household plus one other person and their children, who are no more than 14 years old.

But no matter where something is allowed or forbidden: a nice walk with loved ones is possible everywhere. Or? +++
