Four regions of Ukraine are at risk of moving into the “red” quarantine zone – Sumy, Donetsk, Zhitomir and Kharkiv regions. Of these, the most critical situation for COVID-19 has developed in the Sumy region.
This was announced at an online briefing on Wednesday, October 13, by the head of the Center for Health Economics of the Kiev School of Economics (KSE) Yuri Ganichenko. Video available on Facebook.
As you know, the first in the current wave of coronavirus in the “red” level of epidemic Kherson region fell… There, the quarantine restrictions corresponding to this zone will start working on October 15.

At the same time, the above-mentioned areas can supplement this list, because there indicators for this significantly exceed the norm.
“The most critical situation is in the Sumy region, where the detection rate of infections is already above 30%. This is a lot, 50% more than the established threshold and twice as much as the national average,” explained Ganichenko.

He added that in the Sumy region, the indicators for the occupancy of beds with connected oxygen were exceeded. Also in the region, there is a high dynamics of growth in hospitalizations of patients with coronavirus or suspected coronavirus.
Note: The situation with coronavirus in Kiev is rapidly deteriorating… There, young people under 40 and children began to get sick more often and more severely, the manifestations of the infection themselves became stronger. Every day, medical institutions accept three hundred new patients, more than 95% of those who end up in a hospital bed are unvaccinated.
