Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Jack Dorsey’s social media recently launched the Fleet Twitter feature. So what are the functions and how to use this new feature?
The Twitter Fleets feature is a feature for sharing photos, videos, tweet posts or other content. You can also comment and send emojis. This feature will disappear automatically within 24 hours, much like WhatsApp Stories or Instagram Stories.
The Twitter Fleets feature will appear at the top of the timeline in a bubble like the one in Instgram Stories. For the initial phase of this feature, Brazil, Italy, India and South Korea will be available. Furthermore, it will be shipped globally.
Twitter says the Fleets feature is a new and easy way to share what’s on a user’s mind.
“Because Fleets will disappear in a day, Fleets help people feel more comfortable to share their own thoughts, opinions and feelings,” wrote Twitter in its official statement, as quoted Friday (20/11/2020).
Twitter says anyone who can see a user’s full profile can see their Fleets too. Anyone who gets it sends a Direct Message to a user, can reply to that user’s Fleets.
To share a tweet on the Fleet, just tap the ‘Share’ icon at the bottom of the tweet then press “Share in Fleet”. Then, add what you think with some text or emotion.
Fleet writers can see who viewed their Fleets, including accounts with protected Tweets by clicking on their Fleets and tapping the ‘Seen by’ text at the bottom.
