HOW TO CALCULATE YKS POINTS?

YKS score calculation; TYT is done according to the standard scores determined for AYT and YDT exams and the weight of the test sections.

While performing YKS score calculation;

The number of correct and incorrect answers given by each candidate to the tests is determined. One-fourth of the number of incorrect answers is subtracted from the number of correct answers and the raw score obtained by the candidate from the relevant test is found.

All the candidates studying in the final year have the average and standard deviation of that test by using the raw scores obtained from the related test.

Using this average and standard deviation, standard scores with an average of 50 and standard deviation of 10 are calculated for all candidates.

Candidates reach the estimated TYT AYT score calculation results by multiplying their correct numbers with the standard scores determined for TYT and AYT. In order to calculate the score of candidates, at least 0.5 raw points must be taken from the sections in the tests.

Secondary Education Achievement Score (OBP) Value Ranges will be 250-500. CFP, Turkey on the basis of a general assessment, high school graduation grades (diploma grade over 100) multiplied by 5 to Secondary Achievement Points (CFP) will be converted.

Thus, the OBP will be 250 for the lowest diploma grade of 50, and OBP 500 for the diploma grade of the highest 100. Diploma grades below 50 will be considered as 50.

Then this OBP will be multiplied by the coefficient of 0.12, which is used as the only coefficient for everyone, and the net score from the school will be calculated.

As a result, a student with the lowest grades will receive 30 (0.12 x 250 = 30) from the school and 60 (0.12 x 500 = 60) to the student with 500 OBPs.

In other words, when calculating school scores, a single coefficient will be used for everyone. All students’ OBP will be multiplied by the coefficient of 0.12.

When teacher high school graduates choose their teaching departments in their fields and vocational high school graduates also prefer programs in their own fields (other 4-year undergraduate departments excluding MTOK departments) their OBPs will be multiplied by an additional coefficient of 0.06 (Maximum 30, minimum 15 net points will be found) and the value will be added to the score calculated with the coefficient of 0.12. In other words, the school scores in total will be multiplied by 0.12 + 0.06 = 0.18 and there will be a maximum of 90 points.
