What are the real health risks?

The European Commission has called on member states to tighten their regulations and ban smoking in outdoor areas. An appeal that concerns cigarettes but also e-cigarettes.

But is the electronic cigarette, which contains neither tar nor carbon monoxide, dangerous for health? This is what English researchers tried to find out. They then do to conduct physical stress tests on young people who had no lung problemsThe latter were divided into three groups: vapers for at least two years, smokers of traditional cigarettes and all those who smoked nothing.

The result is clear: Young vapers have the same maximum exercise capacity as cigarette smokers. In short, those who consume electronic cigarettes are less efficient than those who consume nothing.

The vaper, creator of new smokers

The researchers then gave them further tests, including a cardiac ultrasound showing that Smokers’ blood vessels contracted less well than others. Thus, vapers were also more out of breath than non-vapers.

But the vaporizer is not not necessarily a bad thing, provided you are an ex-smoker cigarettes, which contains more than 700,000 toxic substances, including more than 70 that are carcinogenic. Because e-cigarettes are a way to quit smoking. But they should never be a gateway.

And that’s why “puffs,” the flavored disposable e-cigarettes, are problematic, because they’re being used by young people who have never smoked before. They’re starting to create a generation of young people who are addicted and will probably smoke for the rest of their lives. It is not impossible, moreover, that within ten years, these same young people could find themselves in pulmonology departments with respiratory diseases.
