Taking care of our skin is very important. Not only for an aesthetic question, but above all because it is the mirror of our health. The presence of rashes, acne, blemishes, redness can be the alarm bell that something in our body is not working as it should. Dr. Emanuela Russo (National Institute for Obesity treatment of the IRCCS Polyclinic San Donato in Milan) explains it well in an interview with Gazzetta Active.

“Skin problems, such as acne or bruising, are often related to food. Not so much to fatty foods, as one might think, but to inflammatory foods “

It is therefore good to take care of the skin, avoiding some foods and preferring others that have a beneficial and protective effect.

We know for example, that beta carotene and antioxidants are fundamental: they protect and care for it. Especially in anticipation of sun exposure, which is good for our skin because it activates Vitamin D, it is good to start eatingred limes such as carrots, squash, apricots, melon at least a month before. In this way we will prepare our skin for UV rays. However, always remember to be exposed to the sun carefully, avoiding the hottest hours.
