Apple introduced the next-generation iPad mini, but did it forget the basics of the iPad? He didn’t forget. Since the 11th generation is not launching this year, the company has at least adjusted the packaging and price tag of the 10th generation.
The last basic iPad, the 10th generation, was released in January 2022. Therefore, it would be appropriate if the iPad were released a year later. Apple has updated. But that hasn’t happened yet and probably never will. Otherwise why would it be so? Didn’t Apple’s press release about the new iPad mini A17 Pro also mention news of the 11th generation iPad? Moreover, a new iPad mini has been released for the first time in two years.
The iPad mini’s press release already hints that the iPad 11 won’t be released anytime soon. The next ideal time for introduction could be spring 2025, but it could also be next fall. A lot will depend on which chip he wants Apple to use or whether he wants to “launch” even the basic iPad with Apple intelligence. If you upgrade to the current version that features the A17 Pro chip, the price could go up significantly. Apple therefore does not want this model to still function as an input device. It currently runs on the A14 Bionic chip. Used in Apple iPhone 12.

The fact that the basic iPad 11th generation will not be released in the near future is also confirmed by the fact that existing iPads are being updated. That’s because Apple no longer includes a power adapter in iPad packaging. The new iPad Pro, iPad Air, and the recently released iPad mini do not have this feature. To unify this, the company also dropped it on the 10th generation iPad. This means the packaging is smaller and cheaper. The basic price for 64GB starts from CZK 9.
But the joke is that APR and other sellers also have Apple products that respond to this. In the Apple Online Store you can buy the 10th generation iPad without a power adapter for CZK 9, but in other sellers you will have to pay this amount even for models that include an adapter in the package. So if you want to save something, it’s quite worth buying the current 990 generation iPad.
