What about Prymul’s test? As a deputy he did not get it, as a minister he no longer needs it

The epidemiologist Prymula, who replaces his former superior Adam Vojtěch (for YES) at the head of the ministry, who announced his resignation on Monday, did not receive a check of the lowest level of “confidential”.

According to Zdravotnický deník, this was due to his former work at Biovomed by his daughter at the same time as the director of the University Hospital in Hradec Králové.

According to Vojtěch’s order, the deputies had to obtain a check by the middle of March this year, which Prymul did not succeed in doing. Due to his importance to the ministry, the deadline for the deputy was extended until the National Security Office (NBU) decides. The office did not manage to do that, because Prymula and Vojtěch unraveled during the spring phase of the coronavirus epidemic and left the ministry for the Office of the Government.

Subsequently, Prymula stated that the whole inspection regulation was purposeful and caused by concerns about its popularity.

However, the absence of verification is no longer an obstacle for Prymula, because as a minister, according to the law, he can get acquainted with classified information even without verification.

About two years ago, the former Minister of Defense for the YES, Karla Šlechtová, wanted to propose an amendment to the law to the legislators. At the time, she speculated that ministers should not have a duty of scrutiny, which would lead to their scrutiny.
