A possibly ten meter long whale has been spotted in the Seine. The animal swims near the Pont de Normandie, the more than two kilometers long bridge between Le Havre and Honfleur, not far from the Channel.
–
It is probably a minke whale, which is in good condition. Minke whales are more common in the Channel, but never before has one been seen in the Seine.
–
Last week, a four-meter-long orca swam in the Seine, tens of kilometers upstream. That animal died when an attempt was made to lead it back to the Channel.
