Weston McKennie will stay at Juventus according to Allegri

Juventus are ready to part ways with Weston McKennie during the summer transfer window if the right offer is presented. It has also been reported that the Old lady attempted to include the United States international in negotiations to sign Nicolo Zaniola from Roma, but the capital club rejected the offer.

Even though McKennie has been linked with several clubs, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is very happy with the 23-year-old. The USMNT midfielder has earned the trust of the Italian manager and he was a regular starter in all competitions for Juventus’ latest campaign.

Allegri on McKennie’s future

Juventus have been very active during the transfer window and have signed Paul Pogba and Angel Di María with more players expected to arrive. Before the Serie A side traveled to the United States for their pre-season, Allegri gave a virtual press conference and spoke about the American’s future.

« For us it is a great pleasure and a great honor to participate in the Soccer Champions Tour because these are very important games for the pre-season and we will play against big clubs,Allegri said at Tuesday’s press conference.

« As for McKennie, he is a very important Juventus player. Unfortunately, last year he missed games due to an injury he suffered in the Champions League, but he will be traveling with us for the US tour. McKennie will have the opportunity to play a great season at Juventus this year“added Allegri.

Juventus will begin their pre-season in the United States against Chivas in the Liga MX on July 22 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Five days later, they will face FC Barcelona at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, before concluding their American tour at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena against Real Madrid on July 30.
