MOSCOW – Western countries wanted to create a “second Ukraine” from Belarus even before the Russian special military operation was carried out.
This was stated by Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexei Shevtsov.
“Western countries, even before the special military operation, increased military, political and economic pressure on Minsk, openly sponsored Belarusian ‘zmagars’ (opposition supporters), and trained militants. In fact, they want to create a second Ukraine outside their country, which is another ‘anti-Russia’,” Shevtsov told Russian newspapers.
The official added that Western sanctions had “the opposite effect” and further strengthened ties between Moscow and Minsk.
“Therefore, the deployment of Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus is a response to the aggressive actions of the West near the border of the Russian Union State and Belarus,” he stressed.
“The aggressive behavior of our Western neighbors near the borders of the United States forced us to take retaliatory measures, including deploying Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, and increasing the combat potential of the aviation component of the regional joint force group,” said Shevtsov.

According to Shevtsov, the fact that the United States is developing biological weapons, including those aimed at specific ethnic groups, has been confirmed.
