A resident of Westchester County, New York, came to collect his $5,000,000 prize from a Cash X100 scratch-off game.
The New York Lottery reported that Yorktown Heights resident William Ciringione collected the prize.
The lucky winner bought the ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 1949 Commerce Street in the same town.
Ciringione chose to collect the prize in a single exhibition, so after taxes he took home a sum of $3,255,000.
The lottery reported that as of December 21, there were 2 CashX100 jackpots still to be claimed.
New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4,406,338,198 in total sales during fiscal year 2022-2023.
