Mamuju (ANTARA) – The West Sulawesi government urges the public and parents to carry out a complete Diphtheria Pertussis Tetanus (DPT) vaccination for babies under five years old.
Head of the West Sulawesi Provincial Health Service, Asran Masdi in Mamuju, Tuesday said that the Provincial Government continues to urge the public to complete the DPT dose vaccination from the age of 2 months to 1.5 years.
According to him, the DPT vaccination will be carried out four times, and the people of West Sulawesi are asked to take part in the vaccination by paying attention and carrying out routine immunizations.
He said that the DPT vaccination in West Sulawesi was to anticipate diphtheria disease, which would become widespread again in West Sulawesi.
“The West Sulawesi government is actively providing education to the public in preventing this disease. Even though there have been no cases of diphtheria in West Sulawesi, prevention must be carried out by completing the DPT vaccine,” he said.
