West Java Health Service Reports Fluctuating Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Cases Over Last 9 Years

BANDUNG, iNewsBandungRaya.id – The West Java Health Service (Dinkes) noted that Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) cases have relatively fluctuated over the last nine years. It is recorded that from 2025-2023, dengue fever cases will not continue to decline.

In 2025, there were 22,071 cases of dengue fever in West Java, 2016 there were 36,589 cases, 2017 there were 11,422 cases, 2018 there were 11,458 cases, and in 2019 there were 23,296 cases.

Meanwhile, in 2020 there were 22,613 dengue cases, in 2021 there were 23,204 cases, in 2022 there was a significant spike in dengue cases compared to 2021. There were 36,608 dengue cases recorded in 2022.

Then, in 2023 there will be a decrease in dengue cases, almost doubling. DHF cases in West Java in 2023 will decrease to 19,074.

Head of the West Java Health Office, Vini Andiani Dewi, said that dengue cases in January 2024 were still being calculated by districts/cities. So he cannot confirm the total number of cases at the beginning of this year.
