West Java Deputy Governor Rejects Walkot Idris’s Proposal for Depok to Enter Greater Jakarta

Bandung

Deputy Governor of West Java (West Java) Uu Ruzhanul Ulum rejected the mayor’s proposal Depok Mohammad Idris for Depok to join Greater Jakarta. Uu assessed that Idris’ statement provoked a commotion in West Java.

“Please, Mayor, don’t make statements that make people noisy and make people have other thoughts,” said Uu detikJabarSaturday (16/7/2022).

Uu assessed that the Depok Mayor’s statement discredited the West Java Provincial Government, including Ridwan Kamil and Uu, who currently serve as West Java Governor and Deputy Governor. It is as if the Bodebek area (Bogor, DepokBekasi) did not advance because they joined West Java.

The former Regent of Tasikmalaya then explained a number of progress indicators Depok, or the Bodebek area. Such as large local revenue (PAD), good education and health infrastructure, and others.

“Don’t say things that make people give an interpretation that the provincial government has not succeeded in building West Java,” said Uu.

Uu also asked Idris to be careful in making statements. It should, continued Uu, have to strengthen each other between the provincial government and the city or district government. Because, he continued, the West Java Champion Born Inner program has derivatives of innovation, collaboration and digitization.

“I as a West Java person do not want to release Bodebek to other areas,” said Uu.
